Online Grocery Service A Hit At Two Tennessee Locations
Memphis, TN Grocery Store chain Superlo Foods has successfully launched into the e-commerce industry with its Superlo On The Go online grocery platform at www.superlofoods.com. Initially testing the waters with its East Memphis, Spottswood Avenue location in February 2017, recently Superlo expanded its order pick-up service to its South Main store, tripling the amount of orders processed per week at Spottswood.
“Customer feedback has been tremendous,” said J.R. Stepherson, Superlo’s Human Resources Officer. “We’ve received rave reviews on how easy the online portal is and how accommodating the Superlo staff has been in personalizing the shopping the experience. The first few weeks of online orders at the downtown location surpassed expectations. The website allows you to save favorites and future shopping lists, making it even easier to order next week’s groceries.”
This location has serviced shoppers from apartments and condominiums in the neighborhood, as well as single family homes within walking distance. Age and occupation have not been notable factors either as millennials and empty nesters alike have taken advantage of hometown shopping at their convenience, making downtown living even more attractive. Downtown pick-ups are available 3pm-8pm Monday-Friday and 1pm-6pm Saturday-Sunday.
Feedback from online shoppers at the Spottswood store has been equally positive. The store has even seen a recent uptick in online sales with the add-on and hype of the downtown location. Spottswood pick-ups are available Monday through Friday 12pm-7pm, Saturday 11am-4pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm. Lunchtime and early rush hour pick-up times are most popular.
The Superlo shopping website features include a full product inventory, clickable store specific weekly circulars, shopping list builder with reorder functionality, and recipes with one-click ingredients add to list capability. Shoppers can build lists from a mobile device or tablet, place orders online at the East Memphis and South Main stores and select a date/time for grocery pick-up. All the website data and content is integrated with Superlo’s existing systems, ensuring real-time inventory accounting.
